One of UNESCO’s roles is to facilitate the collection, analysis and dissemination of information, statistics and best practices relevant to the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
The Policy & Research series examines emerging trends in cultural policy and governance, and offers an in-depth analysis of key topics to reveal today's policy landscape. In doing so, it aims to inspire cultural policymakers and advocates to make innovative, evidence-based decisions that stimulate the growth of dynamic creative sectors around the world.
Three of these publications engage with issues around the transnational mobility of artists or creative works:

20.01.2021 Forecast > Interdisciplinary Mentorship Programme (Germany) Forecast offers artists and creative thinkers from anywhere in the world the chance to work with accomplished mentors toward bringing their projects to fruition. For each edition, Forecast selects six mentors of various disciplines who offer interested participants their expertise in specifying and realising their pioneering project ideas. The following mentors are participating in the sixth edition of Forecast: architect Tatiana Bilbao; data democracy expert Francesca Bria; experimental singer and composer Sofia Jernberg; cartoonist Ulli Lust; choreographer Mathilde Monnier; and artist Emeka Ogboh. Following the open call, the mentors will select three concepts each.
